SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico Dec 27, 2006
Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the largest U.S. auto rental agency, has
made its first foray into the Caribbean with branches in Puerto Rico,
the company said Wednesday.
The company quietly opened four branches in the San Juan metropolitan
area over the past several weeks and will open up to eight more in the
U.S. island territory in 2007, spokeswoman Laura Bryant said. The new
branches will include one that serves San Juan's main airport

Founded in 1957, Enterprise Rent-A-Car
is headquartered in St. Louis and has more than 7,000 offices in the
UK, Germany, Ireland, the United States and Canada. Enterprise
RentACar started in the UK in 1994 and has rapidly expanded. It
currently has over 300 locations across the UK and Ireland and employs
more than 3,500 staff. Ninety-one percent of the UK population has an
Enterprise branch less than ten miles away. |
